Giving the Blog Another Shot!
This is a gift bag that we made at the last stamp camp that I held in August. I have to give credit to Gretchen Barron for the free tutorial she had posted on her blog www.gretchenbarron.typepad.com.
I just love these gift bags because you can personalize them for whatever occasion you need to. For this particular bag we used some of the retired Sale-a-bration DSP "Everyday Enchantment". The rosette was made with the "Designer Rosette Bigz XL" die (125594). We also used the "Designer Brushed Bronze" button (127833) which are in the holiday catalog and used some linen thread (104199) tied in a bow. We also made a little 3 x 3 gift card to go with the bag and made our own envelope with the "Simply Scored Diagonal Plate" (125586) which works perfectly with the "Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334).
I will post the other projects we made at a later time. If you would like to order any of these products you can go to my online store www.stampinjaelynn.stampinup.net.
Happy Stampin!

This is the inside of the card. To make the spirals for the pop-up you punch a 1 3/8" circle and sart cutting it into a spiral. After the circles are cut into spirals you put adhesive in the middle of the circle and then at the outside where you began cutting. It is best to get your circles cut and adhesive on then you can stamp the background then position the circles inside the card where you want and then close the card to attach the other end to the top part of the card. This idea works great for a lot of themes. The hardest part about this card was actually cutting out all the butterflies!
Pop-Up Butterfly Card
This is a card I made a while ago. I saw this done at convention and then saw instructions for it on-line somewhere. If I knew who to give credit to I would. This is the outside of the card. This card is 4 1/4" square and the base of the card is kraft cardstock.

Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge 220
I have enjoyed the day today stamping and updating my blog. This week is spring break for our schools and my son plays lacrosse and has mandatory practice this week so we are just relaxing and enjoying being at home. This is the first time I have ever posted a SCS Sketch Challenge. This is Sketch Challenge 220. When I saw this sketch I knew immediately which designer paper I wanted to use. I love using the designer series papers on my cards, they make backgrounds so easy and beautiful! I also used the "Flower Daises #2" bigz die (114520) and cut two of the small daisies in pink pirouette and I used a brad from the circle designer brads. The base of my card is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" in Pink Pirouette. The next layer is 4" x 5 1/4" in Bordering Blue. The strips are cut from the "Bella Birds" designer series paper and measure 1" x 3 7/8". The stamped phrase is from the set "On Your Birthday" and the image under the words is from the set "Frames with a Flourish".
Thanks for all your positive comments!

Experimenting with Manhattan Flower
I wanted to try something different with the Manhattan Flower textured impressions die today. I used the pink pirouette ink to brayer the die and then embossed it on whisper white cardstock in my Big Shot. Then I cut the embossed flower out and attached it to the basic gray 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card base. This is a fun technique to try with any embossing folder. Sorry the "Mr. & Mrs." is from a retired set. I thought this made a great wedding card.

Scallop Envelope Easter Basket
This is a fun idea for Easter! To make this basket you cut 4 scallop envelopes from the Stampin' Up Bigz die, I used bashful blue cardstock. Cut the right side tab off of each die and then put all four dies together with sticky strip on the left tabs. I cut just the scallop flap out of the bashful blue print of the Delicate Dots DSP. On each side of the box I cut the stripe from Delicate Dots to measure 2 x 3. Then I used the jumbo eyelets on two sides of the basket with the so saffron ribbon from the ribbon bundle of the Sale-a-bration catalog. The little chick was stamped on whisper white with basic black ink and then punched with the large oval punch. The scallop edge around the oval was done with a 3/4" x 12" strip of Delicate Dots paper then punched with the scallop edge punch and then ran through the crimper. For the best instructions see Jan Tinklenbergs instructions on her blog, http://stampspaperscissors.tpeypad.com. Jan has done some awesome things and it is fun to visit her blog. She has a great sense of humor. I then stamped the chick on a piece of so saffron cardstock and cut out. I colored his beak with summer sun stampin write marker and used a sponge dauber to add a little more color to the chick with so saffron ink. I also stamped the chick on a scrap of the blue print from the Delicate Dots DSP and cut just the egg out and applied to the chick. I used the linen twine to tie the ribbon after threading it through the eyelets. I then stamped "happy easter" in basic black on whisper white cardstock and punched with the word window punch and tied with the linen thread.

This is an Easter card that I created using the Mojo Monday sketch challenge from a couple of weeks ago using the stamp set "A Good Egg". They have a new challenge each Monday and I like to check it out every once in a while. For this card I used the Washington Apples designer series paper (DSP). The stamp set is a "Good Egg" found on page 29 of the spring- summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog. For the cracked egg part I used some retired DSP but you could easily use a current DSP. I just stamped the image on the paper and cut the egg part out. Isn't this little chick darling?
